A new discovery in Dead by Daylight’s game files has fans buzzing with excitement. A recently datamined soundtrack, which strongly resembles the iconic musical style of The Witcher, has sparked speculation about an upcoming collaboration between Behaviour Interactive’s asymmetrical horror title and the critically acclaimed fantasy universe.
According to trusted leakers within the community, the soundtrack doesn’t indicate a full DLC chapter with a new killer and survivor—but rather, it appears to be linked to a set of upcoming cosmetic skins, similar to previous crossovers like the Attack on Titan event.
What Is The Witcher?
For those unfamiliar, The Witcher is a fantasy franchise that began as a series of novels and short stories written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. The story centers around Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter known as a Witcher, who navigates a morally grey world filled with magic, war, and political intrigue.
The saga exploded in global popularity thanks to the video game trilogy developed by CD Projekt Red, particularly The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt—which remains one of the most critically acclaimed and awarded video games of all time. Praised for its narrative depth, world-building, and emotionally resonant storytelling, the game has cemented The Witcher as a staple in modern fantasy media.
Additionally, the franchise has been adapted into a live-action series on Netflix, starring Henry Cavill as Geralt (seasons 1–3) and Liam Hemsworth set to take over the role in future seasons. The show introduced the world of The Witcher to an even broader audience, boosting the franchise’s cultural impact.
What the Leak Tells Us
The newly discovered music file doesn’t come with much explicit detail, but its haunting melody, use of traditional Eastern European instrumentation, and epic fantasy tone are all highly reminiscent of The Witcher soundtracks composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz and others. The file is believed to be associated with a skin bundle, not a full chapter—much like Dead by Daylight’s previous Attack on Titan crossover, which featured character outfits inspired by the anime rather than adding new characters or maps.
If this leak proves true, players might soon be able to dress their favorite killers and survivors in Witcher-inspired gear—perhaps imagining characters like Yui or David in Nilfgaardian armor, or even The Huntress styled like a Leshen, one of The Witcher’s most iconic forest monsters.
No Official Confirmation—Yet
As of now, Behaviour Interactive has not confirmed any Witcher collaboration. However, leaks of this nature are often accurate indicators of future content, especially when they involve completed assets like music or cosmetics. With the success of past cosmetic crossovers, and The Witcher’s continued popularity, this partnership would make perfect sense.
Keep an eye on upcoming announcements, particularly during major Dead by Daylight events or livestreams—The Witcher may soon be making its dark and magical mark on the Fog.
