The highly anticipated collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Tokyo Ghoul has finally been announced today with a post on DbD socials! Fans of both the asymmetrical horror game and the dark, twisted world of Tokyo Ghoul can rejoice as Behaviour Interactive confirms the arrival of this iconic anime and manga series to The Fog.

What is Tokyo Ghoul?
Tokyo Ghoul is a dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Sui Ishida, first serialized in 2011. The story follows Ken Kaneki, a shy college student who finds himself transformed into a half-ghoul after a fateful encounter with a ghoul named Rize Kamishiro. Ghouls are monstrous beings that live among humans but survive only by consuming human flesh. Kaneki’s life changes forever as he struggles to accept his new reality, navigating the treacherous balance between humanity and the horrific instincts of a ghoul.
The series quickly became a global phenomenon, praised for its dark, immersive storytelling, complex characters, and thought-provoking themes surrounding identity, survival, and morality. The success of the original manga led to several anime adaptations, including Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, and Tokyo Ghoul:re, along with video games, light novels, and merchandise that cemented its cultural impact worldwide.
Ken Kaneki in Dead by Daylight
The collaboration between Dead by Daylight and the Tokyo Ghoul franchise has been one of the most highly anticipated crossovers in the game’s history (I have been telling you about since October 2024).
The killer of Tokyo Ghoul Chapter is Ken Kaneki with a unique and terrifying power that echoes Nemesis from the Resident Evil chapter. When activating the power, two tentacles drop from the top left and right of the screen, enabling a dash that slightly lifts the killer off the ground, akin to Blight’s mobility but with a jumping twist. An iridescent addon allows for a consecutive dash, increasing the killer’s unpredictability and threat.
- Killer: The power features tentacle-like appendages that provide a dynamic and fast-paced chasing mechanic.
- Skin: The Tokyo Ghoul contents will includes a skin for Rize Kamishiro, complete with voice lines entirely in Japanese, adding authenticity and depth to the character.
