These are electrifying days for fans of Dead by Daylight, the annual livestream to celebrate the anniversary of Behaviour Interactive's hit horror game we all know, Dead by Daylight, has recently concluded and there is big news for all fans with new spin-off games, changes to gameplay, collaborations with other brands, and more.
But in addition to everything that has been announced there may also be the arrival of another licensed character much loved by the community, but first let's go in order and see everything that will be coming to Dead by Daylight in the next 12 months:
After the many rumors of the past months, the collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Dungeons&Dragons was officially announced, which after Alan Wake is thus the second collaboration in a row coming within Behaviour Interactive's game:
The roadmap of content coming during Year 9, which will end precisely in April 2025, has been published:
In the past few months, Behaviour Interactive has anticipated some changes to gameplay by introducing modifiers, small temporary changes to the game such as Lights Out introduced with the arrival of Alan Wake that for one week aimed to make gameplay more 'hardcore' by lowering the brightness of the game and making it impossible to use perks, items and add-ons.
Most people were not all that enraptured by these small changes, as the core gameplay still remained the same, make generators and run.
So a real new mode was announced to be coming in Dead by Daylight, 2vs8 with cages, classes system and the five original killers:
Updates were also given on new spin-off games coming within the world of Dead by Daylight, one of which was announced at The Game Awards in 2023, namely The Casting Of Frank Stone, which by the way received a new trailer:

And also announced was Project T, a co-op pve game for 1-4 people, and What The Fog:

In fact, it has been said by Game Director and Head Of Partnership Mathieu Cote, that the Vecna version of Stranger Things will never be a legendary skin of the Vecna from Dungeons and Dragons due to the fact that they are two different licenses and two creatures that have nothing in common, and therefore it would not make sense (the simplest answer is that it would actually be really wasteful to have the Vecna from Stranger Things as a skin instead of with a chapter that would make you a lot more money and attract a lot more attention from people).
However, it has been confirmed that Vecna from Stranger Things is not necessarily never coming to Dead by Daylight because the arrival of Vecna from Dungeons and Dragons does not create any problems in this regard, and that therefore they can both coexist in the same universe (of dead by daylight).
A very curious thing was also said: originally the killer of the collaboration with Dungeons and Dragons was not supposed to be Vecna, but Count Strahd von Zarovich, who was no longer chosen after they managed to reach an agreement with Konami to bring Dracula from Castlevania within the game.
So it could be that Vecna had not been chosen perhaps because they were already intent on making a chapter with Vecna from Stranger Things within Dead by Daylight, and if so it could be just the March 2025 chapter, which I remind you is licensed and contains only the killer, and in this case it would make sense because the Stranger Things map is already there as well as the survivors including a legendary skin.
